Dr. Alan Dixon
Alan is a Geographer with research interests in sustainable development and social-ecological systems in the global south. In the CLARS Project, he is involved in WP2: Layered vulnerabilities amongst refugees and IDPs (Uganda) where he will be part of a team exploring how different adaptation and resilience strategies can address climate-induced socio-economic vulnerabilities amongst migrants. Similarly, in WP4 Alan is also working with colleagues to explore the intersection of climate change, culture, and socio-economic vulnerability among pastoralist communities in Tanzania. Work from these will further inform WPs 6 and 8.
Within these WPs, Alan will help facilitate the participatory methodologies and their aligned qualitative data collection and analysis activities.
